The essence of life

I got to read a book by the famous Devdutt Patnaik, who is one of the best authors describing various mythological incidences and characters in hindu mythology. The book I read was Seven secrets of Shiva.

For anyone who does not know who is shiva, he is the essence of life, basically it’s a word symbolical of peace, tranquility , getting to know oneself a bit better by doing meditation and being unaffected by the garbage around us.

The way this book talks about various forms of lord shiva is amazing, I was already aware of some of the stories mentioned in the book but mostly I was unaware. But the thing that really stuck in my head was the ultimate supreme power and guiding light for all of us is shiva. It’s not necessary to worship him in the temple, you can just meditate and know yourself a bit more each day by just doing that you will be following what Shiva has been doing since eons.

The most benevolent god and someone who if he gets angry on some wrong thing can destroy everything , is what represents a form of shiva.

I would recommend anyone who wants to know a bit more of the surrounding and why certain things happen in life, read this book!

Kudos to Devdutt Patnaik for such an amazing book!

Thank you!
