Spring Again!

It’s spring time again,

When the flowers will be blooming once again!

There will be no snow,

Just the spitter spatter of the crow!

The seagulls will fly high,

Like little white angels in the sky,

The leaves will be covered with bright greens,

Like a cricket field that is just recently cleaned!!

Far Away

Another poem coming your way, about a huge transition that happened in our lives few years ago , shifted from India to Canada, away from family, friends, uprooted the entire system and came here to start life from scratch. Grass is always greener on the other side, I understood this so well after shifting here 😀 it’s not easy at all each day is a hustle and it’s just not us, it’s every couple who is coming from India or any part of the world leaving all what they built with love back home to start something new, with dreams in their eyes hoping some day those dreams will become reality.

Please enjoy some emotional aspects about the country built over the years 🙂

A land far away , in the land that is majorly frozen,

A place where I never thought my dreams will be woven,

A place that was a strange land ,

But it came ahead with open arms and a helping hand!

A home away from home , created with love,

Away from family, but moulded with blessings from above!

A land with no sun in winters,

A place where even in spring there can be blizzards,

A country that is now somehow ours,

But why does it still not feel a part of our hearts?

With no one to be by my side if I am unwell,

With no maid to wash the dishes , that are not done yet.

A visit to a temple here,

Is a beautiful feeling to be clear.

Summers where are you come here !

Waiting to see the skies becoming clear.

Summing it up, still miss our home country, especially during festivals, as the fervour of those festivals in India is unmatched, still this is our place for now and I feel proud to see so many successful people from our place making it big in a North American country! Kudos .

Your Immigrant!

When god turns on the Air Conditioner ;)

It is that time of the year when everyone is cursing the weather for turning so hot suddenly and missing those winter days! When finally one day god listens to all of us and showers his blessings through rain!!

Though preceding the rain there was a very bad thunderstorm but all went serene after the pitter patter:

The cold wind blowing is better than any AC and it feels blissful to be cherished by the wind and the weather !

Spring/Summer

Finally the city is witnessing spring with a dash of summer introducing itself..after a period of winters ,it feels good to see the bright sun but this sudden change in weather is bad too..

Still as the colourful festival Holi (festival of colours celebrated in India to welcome the onset of summers) is just a week away ,it feels really good that we have bid good bye until next winters to sweaters and heavy blankets!!

Good bye Winters..!Summers be good

Gloomy weather

Even after Lohri and Makar Sakranti there has not been a significant change in the weather conditions..though the sun did come out but it was not too strong.

The weather is gloomy with barely no sun and smoke everywhere.I can see many people still burning old leaves and left over matter of crops on barren fields which is not appreciated especially after the time when the city was covered by smog last year.

Hope that the weather changes most probably after the Onset of Spring and the smog clears up completely making the weather happy !!
