Dubai Diaries:Our 5 day trip!

Our annual vacation started off last year with one more couple and we zeroed on Dubai as our winter getaway. Our trip was during the Christmas time and we had planned a hell lot of things to do in those 5 days.Learning from our past experiences we planned everything on our own and ditched the packages being offered by various trip organising sites.

Day 1: Delhi-Dubai Air India Flight. Our flight was an afternoon one and once we reached Dubai at Hotel Marriott ,Al Jaddaf our home for the next few days at Dubai we were so tired that after having sumptuous dinner at the hotel we passed out.

P.S: The immigration at Delhi airport and Dubai had drained us out already though the flight was a good one but according to our other couple friends who had travelled a day before Emirates was way better.

Day 2: So we started early the next day as we had booked our visit to the world’s tallest man-made structure the “Burj Khalifa” our hotel luckily was quite close to this place and we could see Burj Khalifa from it’s terrace. So we made it to the Dubai Mall ..the entry to the building is through this mall.Malls in Dubai are huge and have almost all the major brands but somehow I was not enthralled by them as Delhi is also no way behind these days in terms of malls and their expanse.!

after getting amazed at this man made beauty we did some window shopping at the mall and got back to our hotel. This hotel by the way had the most amazing vegetarian Indian food and the chef who made the Indian dishes was Manish.

Day 3: Day 3 started with another day of excitement we had to cover lot of places today. So we started with “Miracle Garden”.It felt as if we were in some fairyland the way this place has been maintained is astounding.

this  place is full of artificial lakes and fountains!

After this place we went to “Global Village” this place is the bigger version of various state exhibitions that we see at Pragati Maidan.Again it is very huge and amazing. We covered almost all the countries and it was a very pleasant visit.

Proud to See India’s exhibition at the place!

We ended our long day with a visit to Diera..this place is known for electronics products and much more.Do visit if you pln a Dubai trip.

Day 4: The second last trip was of Desert Safari we started of early in the morning and did Dune Bashing it was a lifetime experience and highly recommended. In the tickets bought for the safari there was a desert camp and show included which we skipped as we had our tickets booked for the Atlantis Water Park too .The rides that we did here were mind blowing but we had great fun..

The day ended with a very late night drive to JBR-Jumeirah Beach Road and a walk at the Marina. R is a must visit if you plan a Dubai visit it is full of young cheerful crowd and great sea side shacks!

The day ended with a platter of vegetable stirred Fajita at Chillis!

Day 5:It was our last day in Dubai and we didn’t wanted any exertion on this day so we made a trip to the “Ibn Batuta Mall” ,again it was quite huge and we bought some souvenirs for the family. Our flight was in the evening the same day and with a heavy heart we bid good bye to this beautiful desert turned into a great destination!!

Hope this blog will motivate you to plan a visit soon.
